The Largo Free Press launches in the summer of 2024 and will provide a direct media and marketing venue to the greater city of Largo Florida. The Largo Free Press will help build and strengthen a cohesive community, uniting culture, diversity, humanity, cooperation, and passion. Largo Free Press is part of the Press Forward initiative by the MacArthur Foundation, RealBuildLocalNews.org, NationalTrustForLocalNews.org, American Journalism Project (theAJP.org) and Institute for Non-profit news (INN.org) coalitions.
The goal of this initiative is to catalyze a local news renaissance that will reshape the local news landscape and re-center local journalism as a force for community cohesion, civic participation, and government accountability.
Our mission is to provide our readers with the most accurate, unbiased, and comprehensive local news coverage possible. We believe that a well-informed public is essential to a healthy democracy by providing an equal balance of power between the citizenry and our elected officials.
The Largo Free Press opens the door to civic accountability and transparency and establishes the baseline for ethics, servitude, community benevolence and public safety. We are committed to upholding the highest standards of journalistic integrity for our publication.

Our volunteer team of reporters and editors are dedicated to providing the latest news within the select zip codes of 33770, 33771, 33773, 33774, 33778, 33760, and 33764.
